Outpatient

The Outpatient PE study is a multi-center observational study of more than 3000 consecutive emergency department that demonstrated the safety and efficacy of outpatient PE treatment. Patients in the Outpatient Study were diagnosed with acute PE, underwent risk stratification, anticoagulation and were followed for 30 days after diagnosis. Following the implementation of our outpatient PE treatment protocol, approximately 25% of patients with low-risk PE were safely treated without the need for hospitalization.
